After a post-swim float in the pouring rain in the outdoor 50 m (started as 50 m, ended as 25 m!), I thought I'd check the indoor pool status. When I arrived earlier it was set up with an inflatable aqua fun park, but through the glass things looked a little less energetic. Quick check and yes: the pool was now set with eight 25 m lanes.

Jump in and run through a quick 1 km to get me over the daily 3 km target, plus the drills I didn't record as the outdoor pool was shrinking with each lap!

Now off to check in to my hotel, a change from the usual Hilton brand loyalty (there isn't one in Rotorua). I'm heading to the Pullman. It's absolutely chucking it down, but I still plan a wander along the new lakefront walk and through Government Gardens, and to seek out some fried Korean chicken — my new addiction!
