After clocking a qualifying 1km in the stunning 50m pool downstairs, I couldn’t resist sneaking in a quick bonus swim in the 25m short-course pool upstairs.

When I first arrived, the short-course pool was packed with families enjoying a float session – inflatables everywhere, lots of noise, and a bit of chaos. But on my way back to the changing rooms, I noticed the pool had quietened down. The float session had just ended, and there was only one lane left – and it was all mine!

I jumped in and completed a quick 40 lengths to officially get this pool on the list. Sure, I had to dodge the occasional leftover float and the odd football still bobbing about, but it was a great way to end the visit.
