Overnight stay on the way to a family get together. Lion Quays is a great little hotel right on the border of England and Wales with a great restaurant, peacocks and canal right outside the door.

This is the first pool swim with Debby and the kids in tow, make a quick attempt at the minimum 1km in between entertain the kids with various who can do what the longest whilst Deb makes the most of the hot tub.

We’re not too far from out destination, Llangollen on a tip to visit my 96 year old Grandad Dode.
